The Price Of Fuel Is Finally Falling

I got diesel for $153.9 which included a 4 cent discount the other day at Victor Harbor which I was pretty happy with, it's gone up to $157.9 now, which is still pretty good. Victor's the biggest town on the Fleurieu Peninsula and it's got 6 servos all in close proximity and at the moment...

    Gold Course in WA

When I first got serious about detecting I booked a 5 day Goldrush Camp with Lisa and Tony at Leonora but unfortunately Covid hit and WA closed thier border so I couldn't get there, I was very disappointed, but I was lucky to have my brother and a few other experienced prospectors to help me...

    Gold Course in WA

It's worth it if you're doing the course with a reputable company or operator. There are a number of things they would teach you about finding gold legally and successfully including using your detector and staying safe in the bush, a good course will probably teach you as much in 3 days as you...

    Lassiters Reef

I personally think one of the big mining companies would be digging Lassitters gold out of the ground by now if it's real, great story and would make a great movie with Liam Hemsworth playing the lead role.

    Minelab dumping smaller dealers

Hopefully the ACCC will put a stop to Coden from manipulating the market if they are forcing dealers to only sell Minelab products. I guess it's up to the dealers Coden are pressuring to make the complaints to the authorities, but it might come back to bite Coden on the arse if the other...

    Minelab dumping smaller dealers

The smaller dealers are the ones who are happy to give you a bit of discount, ask the big dealer for some discount and you'll likely get the "short shift" There's going to be a lot of Minelab customers not happy if this is the case, and if it is I'll be ringing Coden and letting them know what I...

Has anyone ever go in or prospected in abandoned mines?

I've just done the tour of the Central Deborah Gold Mine in Bendigo, a fascinating experience of what it's like inside a gold mine, worth every cent of the admission fee, they've got one area behind glass that still has some gold in the quartz seam, unfortunately I didn't get a photo that does...

Has anyone ever go in or prospected in abandoned mines?

I've come across dozens of shafts like this while detecting in WA, although they look like you could just drop a ladder in them and climb down, you have to remember they were sunk a very long time ago and all the timbers would have decayed badly.
