Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

I am guessing that the 6000 battery wont charge from 5v (usb).. I can still workaround it anyway as my noco gb70 came woth a 12v female cig plug adapter. So i can charge the 6000 battery from the noco. As an added extra bonus i can charge the noco with my 20000mah powerbank too so that is still...

Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

I tried a usb 2.1mm "barrel" plug from both a powerbank and direct from pc to the 6000 battery and it didnt seem to like it. The 6000 battery just showed a solid red light. Plugged the battery back into the minelab wall charger and its charging as usual. Not sure if the plug is the problem or...

That sounds perfect for charging the 6000. Easy get 3 charges from that powerbank. Is a very cheap portable charging solution if it works ok. It also creates the option to charge the powerbank off a small solar panel too so could stay bush forever :D

Do you happen to know the jaycar part number for the lighter socket plug charge cable? Cant browse on jaycar here at the moment cos lockdown. Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

I want to look for a cable thats usb to the 6k' battery charge port plug. Then can charge off a powerbank. The 6k battery is 5200mah so a tiny 10,000mah powerbank should charge the battery 2 ttimes. That would be gairly servicable for long weekend Am pretty sure mich larger power banks than...

Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

That might have been where i went wrong. Have decided the 6000 doesnt look that difficult to operate so will chop up what i have printed already and just laminate a few key points i might want to refer to during first few uses. Looks like it shouldnt take long to become familiar with operations...

Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

Minelab seems to think we have VERY deep pockets. Just printed out the pocket guide and it measures 30cm deep  Maybee calling it a "sock guide" or "sleeve guide" would be more accurate.. or even make it trimable so it actually fits in a regular sized pocket. :|

    Gold Monster deal on EBAY.

I noticed it seems to be $100 off any new detector over $1000. Can also get it with equinox 800 (no anaconda ones at the moment though so price is average for a nox), xp deus (and orx package over $1k), and can even get it on the gpx6000 making it $7899. Im sure same for sdc's, 5000 & 7000's...
