Your best bet would be a Whites SPP mate, but secondhand you'd be looking at between about $1000 -$1300.

I bought an Oztrail cotton canvas -12 degree rated sleeping bag from Rays Outdoors for $150.00 about 4 - 5 months ago. Absolutely awesome, warm, comfortable, heaps of room, has a full side zip and a separate end/bottom zip you can undo if your feet get hot.

Use a jigsaw to cut the bread crate mate. You'll be there all week if you try and use a Stanley knife or hacksaw. After marking the "L"shapes with a marker, it'll take you about half an hour to do.

Fair call on just buying the valve assembly Beagleboy, but I'd much rather buy the entire kit and caboodle, ready to take it down the creek without having to do a thing.

Well the TDI will achieve better depths over the GMT and will handle mineralised ground a lot better. You'll have a much bigger range of coils to use with the TDI and I dare say it'll hold it's value better than a GMT as well. I just found when I got to know my GMT after a while, it was...
