Thanks Simmo, the first link looks like a very interesting site. I haven't used mine for nearly 12 months but was using the CASA "Can I Fly There" app at that time. Is that still valid?

Mmm, while they may have some latitude, I am sure they will be trained drone pilots. But as there are significant safety risks associated with drone use, it would just take one nasty incident or misuse and they too could get into hot water.

Well said Goody.
I have 2 grandsons (in different families), and both have learning difficulties of one kind or another. But each of them has other talents beyond the average Joe, and both of them have a positive outlook, which is good to see.

Methinks it may have been a Stingray, as the sh!t that they inject into you is black gunk. Had a young brother get hit by one in similar circumstances many years ago.

Yep, it was specifically said by one of the powers that be that a trip to Bunnings is ok. Mitre10 also if closer to home as in my case, so I just walk there and get exercise at the same time and if they don't have it then I go to Bunnings.

I just did a bit more internet searching and the closest that I could find was it is a Winter Melon, Ash Gourd or Wax Gourd. I guess that I will have to wait until it is harvested and see what it is like inside.

I got one a year or so ago and nearly binned it within a few days.
- Takes a long while to get working and find satellites and then loses them in rain
- Overheats, but must be on dash-board in the sun to find the signals,
- Street maps function is useless
- You have to pay $$ to get anything...
I don't have much at this time of the year. I too have a few peppers, some rhubarb, a few apples, some passionfruit and some squash. I wish it was a bit more but will get into it soon.

I have always liked this group "Tangambalanga at the foot of Mount Murramurrangbong in the shire of Yackandandah"
I had relatives that lived in Tangam and my dad was born in Yack.

Interesting. I am currently volunteering with BlazeAid (will be for several more weeks at least) and as most of the trailers holding gear to use on disasters went to NSW, as their fires and recovery needs started earlier. Therefore there have also been a few delays in getting the gear/tools to...
You are just a magnet for cool old stuff. What with all this great stuff and your excellent photography skills, I see a new business venture in the offing.

I don't believe so, and the attached is an extract from Wiki regarding refridgeration gas -
'Modern refrigerators use tetrafluoroethane -- HFC-134a -- a gas that's less harmful to the environment than Freon, a type of chlorofluorocarbon. Freon is known to have a harmful effect on the...
