Good luck Tathradj, good times ahead. I look forward to seeing those bullet cases

Nugget Finder Evolution 14x9 or 17x13??

Will do John, I'll be sticking to the 11" Commander until I get the hang of the new machine before progressing to the Sadie.

MDing with a metal plate in foot?

I love how the first thought you have after crushing your foot is "will I still be able to detect?" lol. All the best mate, and I'm sure you'll figure out a way to keep on swinging that coil.

Nugget Finder Evolution 14x9 or 17x13??

Sadie arrived this morning, it's my second one and I think they're a ripper of a coil. I sold my last one when I sold off the TDI Pro. At this point I am going to alternate between the 11" Commander mono and Sadie until I discover ground worth running a bigger coil over, then I'll be going for...

    Minelab GPX4500 tips, settings, questions

Twisting it did the trick. I guess I was just being a little too cautious at first. Thanks again guys.

    Minelab GPX4500 tips, settings, questions

Thanks heaps guys, I knew it wouldn't be rocket science :8. I'll give that a try shortly :)

    Minelab GPX4500 tips, settings, questions

No doubt a silly question, but how does one rotate the handle strap from the left to the right? The bottom seems to want to rotate but top part appears to be locked in position. I just don't want to break the damn thing. Any help is appreciated. Nugget.

    Minelab GPX4500 tips, settings, questions

IMO, it's a great machine for coin and relics in the right hands.

    Minelab GPX4500 tips, settings, questions

Lol, if only I could get her to tag along, that would be half the battle won. Good to see your still on the gold with the SDC mate. Will have to arrange another meet at Hill End when things warm up. I wouldn't mind trying my luck out that way with the 4500, hopefully I'll find a little more...

Nugget Finder Evolution 14x9 or 17x13??

Just looking at weight for a minute, the 15" spoked supposedly weighs around 930g while the 17x13 weighs only 15g more at 945g 8) I appreciate all the input guys, I think I am going to go with the 17x13 after I purchase a new 8x6 Sadie :D

Cheers old hand, you make a very good point.

Nugget Finder Evolution 14x9 or 17x13??

Cheers Nenad, I've been leaning toward the 17x13 for extra ground coverage but wasn't sure how it would handle mineralisation being larger. It's hard to tell from the YouTube videos and it's a pretty hefty outlay for something that may or may not be suited to my needs. I guess I'm hoping to...

Nugget Finder Evolution 14x9 or 17x13??

I'm currently tossing up between the NF EVO 14x9 and 17x13 for the 4500. I'm looking to detect smallish as well as large nuggets at depth which I'm sure both are capable of, however my main concern is stability in highly mineralised and rocky country being that these are quite sensitive coils...

Prospecting Australia PA - Thank You's

Unfortunately you can't please everyone and so there will always be people coming and going, it's just the nature of the beast. Well done to the mods for putting up with all the crap that comes with the job, and respect to all those members who put the effort in to help others.

No problem KEZZ, glad I could help :)
  19. Nugget

    Confused

Definitely KEZZ, I ran the Nugget Finder 8x6 Sadie coil on mine and it was able to pick up tiny targets at depth, again no gold unfortunately but I'm certain it was only a matter of swinging over some in the right conditions. As far as the learning curve goes, a good read through the manual...

    Confused

Cheers mate, I'm looking forward to getting back out there with the wand :) I owned a TDI Pro for a little while and had great success finding nails and other rusty bits and pieces , not saying that the TDI isn't capable of finding gold (check out WalnLiz's videos), just that I wasn't...
