had a good day out today.. found 2 bits in packed in hard clay at good depths.. I gave them a tap with a hammer and revealed some nice gold.. 2.5g all up the 2 bigger bits are 1.2 and 1.1g thought it was a musket ball but it was gold lol cheers stoppsy

I think the 12" is the perfect size as you can swing it in those real shrubby spots were you cant swing the bigger coils.. its very sensitive and good depths cheers stoppsy

I like the 5000 better as its getting the deeper ones the SDC cant get and more ground coverage.. you still know if you walk over a big bit of gold down deep youll most likely get it were the SDC may not cheers stoppsy

hey mate, I would go the 12" as its perfect for those real shrubby areas, my dad come out detecting with me today and he has the 17x13 but he couldnt get a good swing going .. its a real shrubby area. will see about getting him a 12" for x-mas I think... cheers stoppsy

since I have been using the 12" evolution coil I have been hitting a spot had been before hand and found gold.. I have found over 8g and still have heaps of grounds to cover. cheers stoppsy

hey mate, awesome stuff on getting the 12". with the new coils you cant run them the way we use to run the older ones. I run FP on my 5000 because if you run the settings to high you will just get noise.. the thing is to have the threshold running smooth as you can, if it jumping up and down...

thanks mate, have been through a bit with others but that's the way it goes... I do regret leaving and going back as it gives them the a good feeling getting to me. I don't mind people putting there 2 bobs worth in but when it comes to attacking its not on.. cheers stoppsy
