AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

I've got a video up showing the user interface, control panel, and I go through most of the settings, and the basic process for setting up.

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Yes, as I said in my first statement, it won't match the 6000 for depth. At $9k vs $2275, I wouldn't think anyone is expecting it to. On three targets tested, 1 grain AU ingot, 0.5g AU coin (is that a Mini Roo?), and a 20c coin. The one I found interesting was on the 0.5g AU Coin: SDC with...

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Ok guys, I've gone through all my testing notes and did some fresh air testing as well - I know, not really a test of the machine, but does give some insight into how the different timings and coils may perform in the field. The Sadie is the best on EMI. For some reason the 12x8" Evo is a...

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Nice. When you get out in the field, play around with tone, threshold and volume so you're getting the best response on the faint signals. There's a fair bit of tweaking potential with those settings.

    Best detector for creeks?

Around water, SDC2300 or a Nokta Gold Kruzer. Then no dramas if it accidently goes for a dunk. 2300 will handle any minerals far better. The Kruzers 7x4" coil is dynamite for sniffing around rocks.

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Sand yes, but for parks I think the density of targets would just be too much to deal with.

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Yes OzzieAu is correct. It is similar to a coin detector, except it happens in pin-point mode which is non-motion. So you can't whip the coil between targets like you would with a fast recovery coin detector. A coin detector usually gives a beep tone during normal detection, and an all-metal...

Detectors for Big Deep gold versus Detectors for Small Shallow gold

With a VLF it is simple. Lower frequency (i.e. 5 kHz) means the transmitting and receiving is oscillating a lot slower than say high frequency (60 kHz), which is oscillating very quickly. The slower/lower frequency is not as good at detecting very small and low conductive targets, but it has the...

    GP3000 battery options/ upgrades

I have 2/3 size GPX style batteries, that work on all SD/GP/GPX. Same capacity as standard GPX batteries but lighter. https://phasetechnical.com.au/lighter-weight-battery-for-minelab-sd-gp-gpx/

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Depends on how quick it goes out of balance. How many GP3500 - GPX5000 users ran in Fixed vs Tracking?? I'd say a much higher percentage used Fixed and re-balanced with the Quick track button. There already are good detectors for looking for patches in the wide open spaces like WA, but what...

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Pretty much any electronics store, Jaycar, Altronics, Officeworks, JB HiFi, camping shops and most phone kiosks have them. I've even seen them sold in supermarket stationary sections. I've been using a 16000 mAh one, with solar charging and built in flash light. It has a nice robust case as...

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Haha yes, but there's only 1 x Phase Technical ;) Most detectors are black these days. Personally I think if you could visually mash up a Deus 2 and a Safari, you'd get close to the E1500.

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Won't be an issue, as companies have similar names all the time. As long as it's a different industry all is well. AlgoForce name was trademarked under the Metal Detecting category, and was approved last year, so all good.

AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Hi guys, I have done a little testing on the E1500, and a few of my features/suggestions were added in, but the detector was already quite developed when I was approached for some feedback. I was actually quite surprised at how well it worked straight off the bat. There was a software update...

    Pinpointer recommendations

Xpointer Pro is PI, has to be to be able to work underwater, and it's in the beefier housing and rated to 60m. Xpointer II is also PI, but in the lighter Xpointer Max housing, so only rated to 5m. Unfortunately both are out of stock at the moment. I got a couple of dealer orders which wiped...

VEGE PATCH. What's growing in yours?

We don't have much of a backyard, but we've made the most of it. In the retained garden bed along the fence it's mainly Yuccas and succulents but they are broken up by Orange, Lemon and Lime trees and we have a Japanese pear. Also have a plum tree that is hit and miss, some years it goes nuts...

Questions about prices and certain functions

Visual vs Audio responses. A visual response is easy on a coin machine (if you use conservative settings) because it is generally silent and goes beep when you go over a coin. On a gold detector, unfortunately the days of 3 gram nuggets sitting on the surface are long gone. What we are...
