Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

Near fell over backwards when i picked up that 6 today,i wasn't expecting it to be that light,ya won't need a bungee with the 11 on it,so well balanced it feels like a featherweight, walked about with it for ten or 15 minutes, rubbish everywhere and powerlines so i got no take on what it can or...

Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

They make life easy,i got onto them when i had a crook back, only drawback is if ya out there a fair bit there a high wear item,we usually average about 2 a year each,i make my own now from bits gathered off the net, there's not much to them....

Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

Well there ya go kingswood, horses for courses,if i was flying solo i'd probably have a 7 and a cuppla of x coils and be satisfied with that. Ive allways been of the opinion 2 of us walking the same area with the same setup is not ideal,i was gonna grab a gpz this year though until news of the 6...

Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

The 7 with x coils sounds like the top performer these days, getting my other half to chop the lead on her 14 is another matter all together, the NF 12 is a nice coil but she put the 14 back on,she's just used to it and ground coverage is near as important in wa. Back to the 6,the bloke i spoke...

Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

Ive learnt and it also took a while to sink in over many years that JP usually gets it right when it comes to detectors, plus minelabs got the runs on the board,it's a solid situation. All the winging goin on,thank god minelab (plus the coil mobs) is still investing in the gold game and with...

I never said it will be a major step foward, there your words reg. Minelab GPX6000 release, general information and questions

Anyone notice the coil plug connector looks a bit vulnerable, kinda hanging out on its own there,i'll definetly be banging up a bit of pvc or something mounted off the shaft to protect it,it's probably ok but throwing it about on our quad or car etc might take its toll, lookin good otherwise i...
