Signal responce.. With a 12 o'clock setting on the threshold.. With a signal peak at factory but the 'target volume' increased to around 16 it actually boosts the threshold big time on top of the loudest spo1 settings. Again, not a good idea with headphones when you sweep a loud shallow junk...

There is so much more to learn about the 5k, eg.. From memory on a test I did, (in particular settings) a 0.3 gram bit at 10 inches I can make it sound like a 1 grammer at 3 inches just by switching from fine gold to sensitive extra with the 17x13, if I drew a responce/depth curve the responce...

The only thing left to chase in the gullys in vico is this.. Dig to the lowest point between old timers digs, then drive uphill 90 degrees of the gully chasing the bedrock and hoping for a higher bech/channel they missed! Where the good gold is... a foot off the surface isn't ganna do jack.

Why is there so much gravel thrown out on a mullock? It depends on the geology of the lead/field and depth. A shallow lead can have a red clay decomposed/false bottom. The gravels didn't hold enough gold to bother with so only the bottom inches and the inches of clay the gravels layed on were...
