Hi Julie, I don't give out "x" marks the spot maps! Load Australian Geology Travel Maps on your phone and that will give you live and pending leases. You can work the pending leases (blue) and if you look out on Laverton Road you will see 4 large P's running east/west....there has been some...

erosion is a wonderful thing...gold could be front side and/or backside or any combo in between!! Look up a thing called topographic inversion with regards to breakaways......today's breakaways are eroding and the low lying areas they erode to will become tomorrows breakaways....even though the...

    4x4 tyre specials

Two trains of thought... 1/ Anything black...round and holds air is good in the bush. 2/ Anything less than 10PR is a waste of time. My experience has been......coopers can't handle the heat...keep splitting side walls. BFG are city tyres...too bulgy in the side walls and only around 3PR Any...

Crushed rock another swing and miss

sorry....I didn't answer the bloody question.....the gold enrichment can occur anywhere along a structure. I have had QTZ outcrops 10m long with the gold being made in a small 10mm section....it's very easy to miss! If QTZ was chased for 50m then they must of had a reason....ie: it was a...

Old saying in sampling Aussiefarmer....."a negative result is still a result"...well done for getting out the dollypot and dish. I'm not an Eastern States prospector but I think things would be similar. What made you take a sample there in the first place?...gold in the area or just out of...

    Stamper Batteries

First try and work out what kind of gold (particle size) you have. If it's mostly visible then a hammermill will work fine. If its small stuff as well then try and find someone with an amalgam barrel and see if you can strike a deal.

Partner wanted for hi tech prospecting

Lidar is very interesting and almost at a stage where it is affordable to small prospecting operations. It basically gives you a 'photo' of the ground with all the vegetation removed. For alluvial work it can show up old creek systems and low points worth further exploration.

Hi dubbles...you what...who cares!!...it may only be a few but why not call it a patch and with a bit more work it may turn out to be a ten piece patch. Just enjoy it mate.
