    Question for 6000 owners.

Thanks for that mbasko. I've already had my 4500, (modified) over the spot, with a big coil on it for deeper bits. Didn't find much with it. Nearly all the other bits were shallow. wiley

    Question for 6000 owners.

A while back I found a run of small specimens. Over 200 pieces. I found about 150 first with the 7000, then 50 with the 2300, and last, 10 with the 10" X coil. Do you think it would be worth buying a 6000, to regrid the patch? Or, couldn't the 6000 do any better against those units?

Two Borough of Tarnagulla 1887 medallions. Queen Victoria Jubilee. To mark the occasion, the local school children were each given one of these medallions. I've tried to find out how many of these were struck, but couldn't. There couldn't have been many as, there weren't many schools back then...

Can't see anything there deepblue. It's a bit worn, and, has a dark area exactly above the R. Maybe your trained eye can see more than mine. It was certainly worth a try, so, thanks very much for your help. wiley.

Thanks RM. It's great to find rings etc, but here's one that causes me a bit of concern each time I look at it, as to why and how, did it end up where I found it. I was out the back of Kingower in a very isolated area, patch hunting. I was half lost heading back to where I thought my car was...

Sandta. You could be right. That makes it more special to me, as it's a one off, and someone spent a long time making it. Maybe they were too poor to buy a gold one. wiley.

This very worn ring may have been a seal. It has what looks like a rampant lion on it. I can't work out what metal it's made of. It looked like this when dug up, in the 80s, and has never corroded since . Any ideas? wiley.

This seal has the word, brandy on it. It could have been used to mark barrels of it.
