    New Gold Detecting Pick

mate there is something seriously wrong with that pick, the material it is made from is way to soft, just looking at the gouges and the corners worn away. you just need to buy a better pick 👌

I gave the new Charcoal Forge a bit of a run yesterday for a short while to see how it goes, I still need to make a hood and hat thingy to suck the ash and sparks up because when a bit of wind blows it send a shower of tiny sharks over me Ouch but it will heat metal, a piece of 12 mm round rod...

I have decided to make a Charcoal type forge to do the same kind of projects, but it should run a lot cheaper using wood/charcoal instead of LPG The build so far is going well, and with advice from...

    Minelab GPX6000 coil issues

yes mate, I hardly see the need to put a chip in the 6000 coils, they are light and flimsy, but mine is still working great, but then it has only been used for 6 or 7 weeks and I try not to bash it into things but sometimes it will hit hard against something

    Fun in WA detecting

yes, and with the 7000 I used to use the GPS on it's screen as a digital chain and it never left a mark on the ground 😂 now seeing as the new 6000 don't have that function I have reverted to having to use a physical chain and like you say Moneybox once it's done if someone else wants to redo it...

    Home made pick.

the Gold Digger Picks I make and supply to the detector shops are sharpened on the outside, as the cutting blade is made from a plough disk and it has the sharp cutting edge on the outside, this seems to me to make the most sense, and when scraping the ground clean with the blade of the pick...

We bought the gpx6000 minelab detector brand new a few weeks ago and it going great, found a couple of patches of small stuff so far and plenty of scattered bits.
