    Leech bites and allergic reactions

Salt works to get them to let go. Sprinkle abit on them, they'll soon let go! Also the person at the back of the trail gets more than the person at the front. The heat from the first guy attracts them. I seen them drop from.trees, live on the bottom of rivers, live under ground, even up on...

Eurobodalla South coast. My experience+ Looking for Prospecting buddy

Hi bud welcome to the forums. Mate finding gold is hard now matter where you look. The south coast is even harder with steep and scrubby bushland in most cases eliminating detectors. Saying that there's plenty of creeks to pan, but you have to think smart, dig your own dam so to speak, and let...

General National Weather advice and information

Next month goody till late Feb. Does it really come as a surprise tho? There's less rain around now then 30 years ago. Most of the creeks I use to bass fish in have been dry for years. More fires more heat, less water. That's basically an Austrlian summer these days.

Reasons I Can't Find Any Gold?

I don't believe luck pays as big a part as many think. The guys that find gold find it for a good reason. They do their homework. I'd say 80% goes on research and 10% decision making once on location and 10% on luck. Goliderocks explained it in detail (somewhere on here) why gold is found where...

Reasons You May Not Be Finding Anything?

Mate if you're not feeling it, maybe give it a rest for a week or two. The gold will still be there. A little break might get you keen again. Atm I only get the chance to detect 5 times a.year. so I enjoy every moment of it. Try lowering you sensitivity and gain. Gain 8 sen on 6. You may find...

Reasons You May Not Be Finding Anything?

Chin up Vicgoldhunter . Mate it will come. Try having a game plan. Peg out a 100x100m area in your mind that you suspect holds gold and work the area untill you can walk away knowing you have covered every inch of ground properly.

12" Evo Or 15 Spoked Evo?

Go the15, as tuna said not much difference between the 11 and 12. I've got both n tested on a 5000 and to be honest my 1713 is better still at alround performance. However, the 12 runs very quiet in vic and nsw. You'll need a good pick for the 15!

Gold & Its Association With Ironstone

Well , it's all got me stuffed. So many different age periods. Its very interesting to me and ive always been fascinated with it. Wish I had a rock sampling tool that read out instant information. I know a spot where there's plenty of iron stone, dykes, and white clay all not far from each...

When & where not to travel?

Be careful in high temps where huge amount of water are needed. If you drink more than 13liters of water per day you will most likely I die . The water dilutes the salt from your body so detecting in 40+ odd degrees is not fun. (For most of us) I guess you have to understand where your comfort...

    Today I BOUGHT

Well I couldn't help myself, went into Aldi to buy some food and walked out with this 50L 12v/240v fridge freezer reduced to $250. Was going to give it the father-in-law as a Christmas present but he already bought one at full price of 500, even that's still good price. My old Aldi Adventure...
