    Whites SPP information and questions

Once again, thanks for the replies guys. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to compare the SPP to top of the line detectors and I obviously know there are a lot of varying factors to determine how deep you can detect a target. The depth question is more to create a bigger picture for myself so...

Where have been your better areas?

Without giving an "x" marks the spot, where have been the areas that have produced the most gold for you? I'm only new to the game, with only about 50-60 hours of detecting under my belt and have been to Whipstick, One Tree Hill, Heathcote, Mt Disappointment and Taradale, with Heathcote being...

    Whites SPP information and questions

What I mean though John, is if I was to put this detector to the ground with the right set up on this machine, with no target in the ground to detect, could the SPP send a pulse 20" deep?

Old hand, any idea of what kind of accessories will be released?

    Whites SPP information and questions

Thanks for the replies lads, it's much appreciated as I'm still very much a novice in this game. So hypothetically, (not thinking about targets in the ground as size, shape, the way it's laying etc etc all help determine signal strength) if the ground conditions were right, the settings were...

    Whites SPP information and questions

Cheers for the reply Roscoe. You said with the 8" commander coil on a .15 gram nugget you could achieve about a 3-4" depth, but lets say using the best and biggest coil available, what kind of depths is this thing going to achieve? Also, how much are these kind of coils worth?

    Whites SPP information and questions

I'm thinking of buying one of these machines soon and would like to get a bit more info from those of you who use one or have in the past. Using the standard coil, on average ground, what kind of depth can be achieved? Can you gain much more depth with other brand coils? I've heard Razorback...

    Whites SPP information and questions

Yeah I've heard some good things about the razorback coils, will have to check them out. Old Hand, SPP, $900.00... Hmmm.

    Whites SPP information and questions

Good to hear Zuke. In your opinion mate, what are the better coils to use with the SPP in regards to small, shallow and bigger, deeper gold? I'm thinking of purchasing one soon with a few different coil options.

    Whites SPP information and questions

So what happened with all the feedback and videos of the SPP guys and girls? How's everyone finding this detector after having it for a few months now?

Reading the ground using Google Earth...

Thanks for the info Redfin, I may just have to do that. I guess with only being able to go out once every weekend, I should probably pick one spot, do as much research on that particular area as I can, and stick with that area for a while. Just have to pick that one spot first. ;)

Reading the ground using Google Earth...

Well that's definitely good to hear that I'm on the right track Metamorphic. In regards to elevation levels, what exactly should I be looking for in regards to the patch of ground in the photo above?

    G'day from Victoria...

Hey Panda, one of the places on my shortlist is around near Spring Gully. Have you visited the area much?

Reading the ground using Google Earth...

I'm not sure LC76, as I've never been there before. I was just having a general look around the Bendigo area on Google earth as I'm going there this weekend and came across a few places that looked like what's in the photo. I just want to know if there is anything I should be looking for...

Reading the ground using Google Earth...

I tell you what, you are good. That's exactly the position where I pulled this screen shot from. So, from your comments, given the changing ground conditions (as I was just using that photo as an example) finding places that look like that, wouldn't be any better than an area with consistant...

Reading the ground using Google Earth...

Hey TGW, thanks for the feedback mate. Yes the area has shown gold in the past and it's definitely not private property. But I was more or less using that screen shot as to ask about the changes in ground colour and if that's what I should be looking for in general as a good place to park the...
