Bloke at work was bitten on his toe in his shed. Very small northern brown snake. Didn't worry about it until 20 minutes later he started going blind and had other problems. Genuinely interested in snake bite stories. The only people I know have been bitten at home or doing mundane things like putting the bin out at night. I did read a stories of a bloke bitten while panning, but I think it was his hand or arm that took the bite.

I think Steve sums it up nicely in that article (post). Wait and see how it goes after its been out a while. It looks promising, and will be a great alternative for those who,s budget just can't stretch. I'm following this with interest.

Thanks Mbasko, I'm just hoping that it becomes quieter. I'm probably going to look at the larger elip coils, either the coiltek or NF, but if they don't "tame" the 6k and if I can't swing quicker, then I will probably sell my 6. I'm really hoping that it runs the machine more stable.
