The SDC is a mighty machine and for a first time user cannot be beat in hot ground and it will see pourus reefy gold that the Z and the GPX's cannot see and that is fact. But the Z is a far better all rounder if you are serious about this game and some of the depth claims by people with the SDC...

Mate how big was the bit of tin at 900mm, thats 3 feet and my SDC does not punch that deep, in fact I have only dug one target with the GPZ that was close to 3 feet.

My feeling on the reactivity is the higher it is the less the Deus locks onto a target not saying higher settings misses targets just does not seem to single out the nice tone as well but with a higher reactivity seems to blend some of the tones together. But like anything in detecting when...

Straight to APCGS and just send some other coins with it. Mate any coin found in the ground is not going to grade to well as you have to clean them which limits you to XF and below. Does not matter what the other coins you send are, just send a couple of $1 and $2 coins with it.

Yeah reading about magnetic field generator in the coil has got me intrigued. Lets face it if it can process both the ground and target simultaneously, target ID would be better than anything we have seen to date. Wonder if the coil will be wireless

Its a good coil for sure very solid. If you are park hunting it really as no advantage over the 11 stock coil but on the beach it kicks arse as it sinks, gives good depth, smooth operation and good ground coverage.
