Yes the Nox is very good for the people that hunt by tone, it can clip tones if you try and run the reactivity too high. 50 tones can overload your hearing when you have lots of non ferrous targets under the coil but this is where it kills the CTX. I would just love the CTX colour screen on the Nox.

Beach mode works extremely well also, kinda of wanna say ID is as accurate if not more than the CTX on the beach but only a couple of hours on the beach so far with NOX. This thing continues to surprise me. Eats the Deus alive on the wet sand.

Well have spent a few hours on the Nox now and have found it very good. High reactivity tends to scramble ID numbers a bit but have found park 2 in 5khz with a lower sensitivity locks onto the $1s and $2s even with high reactivity. I think FP is a little to hot for a new user as its very chatty...

Yeah you really have to just dig every signal when learning. You will get to know what is what but some times a ground noise signal will turn into a nugget once down 2 or 3 inches so again if in doubt dig down a bit.
