It is awesome - puts you right there doesn't it! 'tis the next best thing to a time machine. The pic with the 2 axe men has exceptional depth. Question:- when you "cross-eye view" Teemore's stereo pic 2, and then cross-eye view the stereo pic in my post, which one works for you and you get a 3D...

Thanks for posting the pics Teemore... Silver, It's called "free view stereo" ie stereo viewing with out apparatus. It's been a hobby of mine for years and I still make my own stereo views. The ones posted are not suitable for "free view stereo" so I've re configured one of the photos for us all...

.... it descends 600metres in only 3.5kms. In my vehicle I can do most of it with engine braking alone in LOW 1st with centre diff lock engaged and only resorting to driving thru the brakes when dropping down over the steps. Going up is much more fun :)

I agree .... Can also cause brake overheating & auto transmission overheating on long descents? .... in my experience no! and in an auto-trans vehicle it is the same as in a manual-trans ie 1st gear & low range, which in my vehicle locks the torque converter and you can drive the vehicle as...

good advice ... because when the "going" becomes challenging that's when effective off-road driving becomes more about the driver's ability than the vehicle's - learn the skills and know your vehicle's capabilities and that's when you'll get the most out of your vehicle.

.....you need to back to basics for the answer and it is a technique called "driving through the brakes" master the technique and you'll have total control of the machine :)
