Wiley's coin and relic by-products from 40 years of gold prospecting.

Wiley, that small medallion is similar to this one that I found... It signifies Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows with the seven swords. I think this modern one is similar to your obviously old version.

Other Brands AlgoForce e1500 coil recommendations?

Back on topic here..... After a run with the Coiltek 10x5 Joey at Tibooburra, I came away pretty disappointed with its bump sensitivity when just touching anything whilst swinging over uneven ground laced with rock and quartz. Although it is very edge sensitive for those tight spots, I found it...

You can’t keep a good guy down..... Luke Phillips, what a champ.

If anyone deserves a payday like that, then it is Luke. I’ve been watching his YouTube channel for awhile, and what he’s gone through providing knowledge and info to the detecting community. A deserving reward for great guy...👏 In the video, the serious stuff starts at the 14.30 minute...

    4500 repairs

If you are in Adelaide, give Nenad at https://phasetechnical.com.au a call. He can repair headphones and supply most parts for Minelab gear. He also makes the SP01 enhancer and can advise on wireless sound setups.

Other Brands AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Nenad is a distributor here in Adelaide for the AlgoForce and has had some input into it’s development. The actual designer was a former MineLab computer engineer . Having just returned from a detecting trip to Tibooburra with the E1500 , I can fully endorse the above observations by XLOOX. I...

Other Brands AlgoForce e1500 coil recommendations?

I couldn’t resist grabbing this Coiltek 10 x 5 Joey coil when I saw it posted here... ( thanks Digger96 ). The thing looks brand spanking new. It certainly suits the AlgoForce and balances really well with my lighter weight battery pack. I’ll be heading up to Tibooburra next week to do some...

    Whinge of the day thread...

If you watch this video of a qualified MD analysing what is in Mc Donald’s food, you probably would never eat there again..... no wonder obesity and diabetes is running rampant in the western world.

    Prospecting gadgets and accessories

That’s a neat solution there for a single cable for multiple devices. That’s assuming that the one magnetic cable is compatible with USB C and micro B charging ports. Do you get both types with the cable? Most of my devices have the more current USB C port.

    Mechanics help required please.

I’m just curious Mackka as to how they diagnosed your radiator as leaking / needing replacement. They would have had to add coolant / water and probably start the engine to determine where it was leaking from..... upper or lower tank or core. Unless they saw an obvious crack in the plastic...

Other Brands AlgoForce e1500 coil recommendations?

Yes, some coils appear to be problematic on the AlgoForce. I too tried a mates 12” Evo on mine and found that it was very bump/ touch sensitive..... maybe just this particular coil though. It was still detecting targets okay when swinging off the ground, but contact with anything gave a...

Other Brands AlgoForce E1500 - NEW PI DETECTOR FROM EX MINELAB ENGINEER

Thanks for that update Simon. You’re turning out to be AlgoForce’s media liaison spokesperson atm. A bit like Dilek from Nokta... I know you have been advising them of possible future improvements to the E1500, but your efforts to promote them via forums like this, makes me think you’re maybe...

FWIW, I have a Detech 8 inch round for my Algoforce and find it very good. It’s very sensitive and runs smooth, plus not too heavy or expensive. I think you’ll be waiting awhile for the updated NF coils to become available. They won’t be cheap either.

    Nokta/Makro Nokta Pulse Induction Detectors

I know Nokta detectors are rugged as I’ve owned a few. my Legend has a had a pounding in all environments and not one issue or breakage. I don’t doubt when their PI finally arrives it will live up to my expectations. I’m also hoping for some cool new features in a modern lightweight Gold...

Boots for Prospecting, Hiking, Detecting information and questions

Footwear is such an individual thing, so what may suit one person perfectly could be problematic for someone else. There are so many variables with shoes and boot comfort and performance, like toe box room, heel support, instep height, arch support, inner sole padding , etc. So all these...

XLOOX, can you run the 12” Evo in Ultra fine gold without any issues? Edit; Just saw your post in the other Algo thread about better stability in Fine gold. This also applies to the 14x9 Evo.

Did you know this about carbon fibre shafts ?

There is a robust discussion on another forum regarding the use lower carbon fibre rods with highly sensitive VLF and PI detectors when hunting for very small gold. It appears that carbon shafts are electrically conductive and that when any movement of the shaft in relation to the coil will...
