    Golden Triangle Detecting (Avoca)

BTW, there’s always the chance of this type of gold if you’re in luck. This was found in one of those red highlighted areas not far from town. https://www.prospectingaustralia.com/threads/bucket-lister.42884/#post-684741

    Golden Triangle Detecting (Avoca)

If you’re staying in the Avoca caravan park, then there’s bound to be some detectorists you can possibly introduce yourself to and you may gather some helpful info on the local area. If not this may give you an idea where to look. Just keep to the tracks in the State forest area and you will...

    Desiderata

Still as relevant today as ever. Inspiring and uplifting.

    Getting old?

What about that little devil..... Taz ? I hear they’re into the odd Chicko.

    Screw Identification

Thanks for that Phil..... I always thought my Phillips bits and screwdrivers were just worn. Actually, using them on the wrong screw head types wouldn’t do them any good either, just like the screws themselves.

    Worth chasing ?

You want to borrow my AlgoForce to sniff around with?

    Changes in Victoria's prospecting rules

You just beat me to it Geoff, was about to post the same video. He certainly sounds appropriately pissed off, as we all should be. Time to form an action group PMAV....

    ⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

From what I’ve heard production of all the current Evo line of coils has ceased and a new design MkII version is in development. The 8x6 MK II Sadie has been released, but unsure when all the other sizes are forthcoming.

    Minelab dumping smaller dealers

No, I think Clegy is having a fire sale of all his ML branded stuff.

    Minelab dumping smaller dealers

Plus the move to online sales where they can sell direct to consumers. There is more competition coming their way with the soon to be released Nokta gold and relic PI machines, probably with a much more affordable price to boot. The market is definitely in for a shakeup. Lots for the boffins at...

    Minelab dumping smaller dealers

Clegy from Aussie Detectorist.... not happy. And he’s not the only one. This is a Facebook video. Minelab will live to regret this back handed slap in the face to their dedicated retailers. Our own Minelab guru on PA is amongst them..... ffs.

    AlgoForce E1500 Gold Detector $2100

Good luck with it Pete, that is a good pickup for someone just starting out or even a seasoned operator. Btw, can you spare me one of those 3D printed stands ?

That’s sweet Dave.... that one’s pricked my interest 🤔

    Bucket lister

Avoca, Victoria. We had access to some pushed diggings used for pasture on the main Lamplough lead, just out of Avoca. Flat with a thin carpet of grass with soft clay and gravels at 6 inches. Very lucky to have the privilege to swing over such easy going ground. My mate detects with a 3030...

    ⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

Just curious as to why you offloaded your AlgoForce. Did it not meet your expectations?

    ⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

It’s an older 12x8, but I’m lucky it’s a good stable one and runs quite smooth on the Algo . Don’t think the MK II 12x8 is out just yet. Would be interesting to compare mine to one when they are available. That gold is 0.01 to 0.45 gm. All up about 2 gm.

    Bucket lister

Not my find, but I was 50 feet away from my detecting buddy when he screams out...FAAARRKIN HELL mate, look at this !!! 1857 half sovereign Sydney mint. The find of a lifetime. His hands were literally shaking when he showed me...

    ⭐ Gold Detecting Show'n Tell

Just back home from a trip to Avoca and scored a few tiddlers with the AlgoForce and 12x8 Evo. Also picked up a nice little speccie. I was happy with the way the 12x8 performed as I've heard that some are problematic on the Algo

    Royal Doulton

Phill, I think you need to duck over to the mother country and get this lovely lady to help you identify your antique curiosity 😉 A beautiful piece it is too....

    The Best Coin/Relic Machines

Hi Dave, the coin and relic market is awash with great multi frequency detectors. The Nox 800/900 is a proven performer as are the Nokta Legend and XP Deus I andI II . They all have very similar performance, so things like price, durability, ergonomics and features should be factored in to any...
