    Snickers are made in China

I think we should embrace the slow food movement much more than we do. While I think of it, there is a shop called the Fat Butcher in Inglewood Vic. They have a sign out the front that reads "Private bodies, cut up. Mother-Inlaws $1 extra per Kilo"

    Snickers are made in China

I bought some frozen veggies recently, and I always try to buy Australian grown stuff to support Aussie farmers. While I was fishing out the different makes and veggie mixes from the supermarket freezer, I came across one pack that said on the back "Made in New Zealand from local and imported...

    Can anyone Id this button?

Well, if it's any help (and I doubt it is!), it's a Queens crown, not a Kings. Highly unlikely its got anything to do with QE2, because of its obvious age, design, and the fact it uses a Gothic script. So, We are looking for something between 1837 and 1901. There's only 63 years of archives to...

    Can anyone Id this button?

"Treble Gilt Standd Colour" A lot of makers put that on the back of their buttons, attesting to their supposed superior quality. Although, a lot of them didn't abbreviate Standard to standd. A better photo though may reveal some other detail.

    Can anyone Id this button?

Good brainstorming guys, and a valid point Detectist. At first I was thinking a Livery button, but then it wouldn't make sense there being a crown with the family's initials. Of course, towns/localities/organisations often did have their own militia or cadet regiment. It could be (for instance)...

    Can anyone Id this button?

Yep, if you look at Casper's earlier post it's a dead ringer for a corroded U. Now cleaned up, even more so. It's a mystery

    Can anyone Id this button?

That's true Flash Jack. I do my searches first in google.com.au rather than google.com, then also look in images and search with a .au at the end. Sometimes I even go into advanced search and search a particular country and/or search word. Having said that, sometimes you find Australian stuff...

    Can anyone Id this button?

Gee, I don't know Goldpick. I looked at a heap of Gothic/Tudor/Victorian/Old English scripts and fonts yesterday and couldn't find any V's that were anything like whats left of the first letter on mineallmine's button find above. It clearly has a "Handle" (for want of a better term) on the front...

    Can anyone Id this button?

You know, that button tripped a switch inside my head yesterday. The shop was dead because of Covid, and so I sat there like a dog with a bone searching international historical button and antique sites for military and livery buttons, as well as different types of Gothic and old English fonts...

Difference Between 100K Fault And 250K Fault In Geovic?

Thanks guys, so the area I'm actually looking at is on my own property in the GT. It is well covered with the 100K overlay, so going by your contributions above it sounds as though the 100K is all I need. It's interesting too, in that one of the old brick outbuildings a long way from the main...
