Closest spot to find Thundereggs and Geodes to Wodonga in Victoria?

I don't know where to look for them sorry luckylook, but when I was about 8 or 9 years old we stopped into a little gemstone/souvenir shop in Badger Creek after visiting the Healesville native wildlife sanctuary here in Vic. They had a lucky dip of thunder eggs that were only something like...

What happened to the Detech 80cm Concentric Coil?

104cm :inlove: That'll take quite a few months of sly stamp collection sales through Paypal though, to build up the funds so Mrs D doesn't see the cost :) It certainly seems chunkier than the Detech 80cm. The only thing that worries me about the Detech 80cm is that apparently balsa wood is...

What happened to the Detech 80cm Concentric Coil?

I've never tried a concentric of any size before personally hugh62, and I'm not ashamed to say also that the large Mono's frustrate the hell out of me on the 5000. I guess it's because I'm detecting one of the deepest areas of the GT where biggies were found in the past quite deep, and there's...

What happened to the Detech 80cm Concentric Coil?

Just wondering if anybody knows if the Detech 80cm Concentric Coil is still available here in Australia? I've noticed it's no longer advertised on the Detech Australia website, and the only ads I can find for it are in Europe or the USA, along with the enormous postage to get it here. There...

Nice 1.8 oz bit found last week

 One day, in the far off distant future, after the final nuclear Armageddon, long after we, our children, grand-children and great-great-great grandchildren had passed- In the year 6000, sitting in the scorched, powdered earth that once sustained plants and animals, there sat a...

    The Mr jangles problem

I was wondering if he meant Mr "Jingles" like the mouse in the movie The Green Mile? I've googled Mr Jangles, and the closest I can find is Sammy Davis Jnr singing Mr Bojangles

Major Drug Busts Due to FBI Phone App

Tony is Lebanese, his cousin used to rent a house from Mrs D and I in Reservoir Vic, and eventually he bought it from us. Apparently Tony Mokbel was born in Kuwait, but his cousins family identify as Lebanese and speak Lebanese.

    Gold in Melbourne and Suburbs

Just tried it but it doesn't work. If I just double click the file you sent to me in my email, it goes to google earth but says "No preview available" and that's the end of it. If I save it to my computer and then try to open it, it asks me which program I want to use to open it or which app do...

How do you open those files Detrack? I also received the KMZ file you sent me for the Greenstone belts in WA (thanks by the way), but when I went into Google Earth I couldn't figure out how to open it in there? Are there any clues for this 58 year old Technophobe? :( Is there some kind of...

    Gold in Melbourne and Suburbs

  And don't forget this post from Madtuna, showing someone's gold teeth that he came across. Although not found in a poo pond, I'd imagine if someone was having a a good spew they could easily lose some gold falsies down the loo

    Gold in Melbourne and Suburbs

Well, there have been poo ponds down that way since the late 1800's. When you think that most people had gold fillings back in the day, that may go some way to explaining it. I think we have all swallowed a filling or two at some time while eating. :)
