Yep have done the same in the pass..in Vic.so 21 pieces gold they must have been good size nuggets? Good onya mate
 
IMG_0780.JPGThis is what I had to resort to when my digital scales maxxed out at 150 grams, Luckily, I had these balance scales left over from the old days. Found this one a few years ago. I just put it in a pot and boiled the clay off it, then weighed it. At this stage it weighed 15 .6 ozs/486 grams. wiley.

There is more than one way to skin a cat. Well done. My largest bit was a specimen weighed in at over 3.6 kilo so I used the bathroom scale 😀 Had to crush it and got about 17 oz from it.

Great find mate as a beginner in detecting 3 years now still nothing but junk, what sort of detector you using mate
 
It looks like my hot spot is finished. I got these on Monday. Then nothing Tuesday and today. It's great when you find a good spot, but you know it's going to end some time. I'll be hunting new spots from now on. At least I won't have to drive as far now.IMG_20241006_160437MP.jpg

That's an awesome day out years ago let alone today's gold prices. Well done 👍
 
I got this scrounging about late October. It was in a diggings heap covered in junk, about 75mm deep. I was on the verge of walking away from that heap because of the junk. That heap now has no junk in it! It was the only bit of gold on it! Haven't found any thing since.IMG_20241024_231108MP.jpg
