You can always gauge the distance by the gold yr finding, course closer, well worn - further a field. You can also find non alluvial gold in creeks ?? Meaning in stringers, contacts, faults that cross a river or creek. So if your chasing a possible source, you need to follow the gold indicators...

Hi Dennis, The best thing you can do is test, test & then test some more:) Mono's, Dd's can react differently to different size targets/nuggets & a particular depth. Bury a few different size targets @ around 30cm & use every coil u have, every imaginable settings u can dream up.

You loose abit of depth with Eye Spy.

The Wazza Eye Spy does work - but you do loose abit of depth replacing sound to light You could Try using different tones, if your detectors allows

Too many variables to attach these type distances to a particular type of gold (but fines do travel a considerable distance). Rough nuggetty is "normally associated with gold in Situ, or Elluvial - close to the source

Gold on sloped ground will fan out from the source, small to big as it travels down (normally). A pediment will also catch gold - as the gradient changes. The same as river gold, small to heavier from each edge of any obstruction....eg: fines will be around base, larger further away

Because in Mono timing, the DD coil runs like a Mono, 11 inch dd, now a 5 1/2 inch mono....1 side of coil working

Hello All, This is my first post. Just curious about the new booster SP01. Was hearing that no pouch - comes with the kit (separate). But seeing ROB Detectors in US, claiming that the SP01 that he sells......comes with the booster, cables, *pouch etc etc. Are we getting short changed here in OZ?
