Thanks people.
The grubsteak setup has the flaired area angled from the sluice part.
To set it up so the flaired area is horizontal makes the sluice at the optimal angel.
So I cut the white container so the flaired part would lever.
Stuck it together with silastic.
Running a small 12v bilge pump ( 750 gph)
Getting the water flow right is the next step.
It definaterly collects the heaviers.
Needs more testing for flow rates fore different classifications.
I bought a AM Foreman the other week Rod, I tested mine at GG also, the concentrates from there are hard to work with, great sluices though. Can see micro gold in it but it's just too fine to pan, I separated some of the largest bits out but the rest is impossible.
Cool vid, was thinking something similar and portable for when there is'nt enough water flow in a creek.
I have been posting my videos in my finds topic and thought I should do the right thing and put them in the YouTube section.
This is a video from a few weeks ago when I found a pair of toy handcuffs.
Hey Rod , yeah been off PA for a while but still getting out there when I can. Once it heats up again , we must catch up on a camp somewhere.
