Hey All

Any thoughts on these?

Has anyone had a chance to swing one yet

I see Yes like the other articles we get ripped on pricing

Its so funny to see we make Minelab here in Aus but there cheaper to buy in the USA

You would think ( maybe that Garrett is made in the USA it would be dear there and cheap here in Aus )

Never we always get shafted here

We get our hands on them early this week.

Will be interesting to see how they go.

Are they a good machine? We are hunting for our first detector and we want to invest in quality but not in a position to fork over $6600 or thereabouts (we haven't found enough gold... Yet ;)

You can get a gpx4500 for the same price as the ATX deep seeker pack. I would definatley be getting the Minelab. I have seen a few gpx 4000 for sale for about $3300 , I can recommend those too.

I think the ATX will shine at the beach. Right down low in the water where many other detectorists fear to tread or cant because of mineralisation. Might finally strike some gold rings.

I will be taking the ATX with me to meet you guys going for gold in the fields very soon. Should be a hoot.

Yes, they have arrived, are sold out and being delivered.

We are Now taking pre-orders for the next delivery in December.

They do look and feel well made.
They work really well.
In testing they seem to do the job and
outperform the infinium with a 8" mono coil.
Testing in my local park.
1g nugget 8 inchs.
2g nugget 11 inchs.
5c coin 13 inches.
Cheers.
Lee.
Tested, max sensitivity, minimum, zero threshold.
So u can raise the threshold n listen to it to
get better depth.
I had lots of EMI n junk.
Needs further testing in goldfield n direct
comparison to infinium n other detectors.
I give it the thumbs up.
Now need a 3 ounce nugget to test with.

was that an air test or did you bury the nuggets you tested with ?

if buried was it in soil or rocky ground ?

thanks

Hi,

that innitial test was a quick air test.
The detectors only just arrived in store.

Took it to Nelligen on sunday.
Raining...:(

Test in mineralised clay, dirt, soil, rock mix.

Had to reduce sensitivity to 9 to get it running ok.
is really sensitive.

1g nugget again tested to 19.5 cm.
2.3g nugget tested to 28.5cm.

Would have liked to reduce sensitivity to 7 or 8 n
go for a wonder n dig some things up to c
what it detected but just kept raining.

Cheers.

Just rang Prospectors Patch in WA and they finally received the ATX Deep Seeker packs so mine should be home waiting for me end of next week. A long wait but really looking forward to it.

Yes but the coil alone is quite expensive and Pelican cases are a couple of hundred bucks easy.

I pre ordered mine so for the Deep Seeker pack it was less than $3500 delivery included

Hey John...

Did you see the new video on YouTube of Chris Gholson..a Arizona based Mine Lab and Garrett dealer finding his first nugget with the ATX ?

Cheers,

Tye
