Japanese button.

Found my second florin and biggest harmonica reed today but the button has me stumped.

This is the face of the button looks like silver to me.

The back has some sort of slide and is spring loaded.

Any ideas, I haven't seen anything like it before.

I think it's a decorative clasp off a purse or ladies wallet. It would protrude through a large eyelet/grommet and to unlatch it, would need to be turned by finger pressure until the tabs on either side align with matching cutouts in the eyelet/grommet.

The pin sticking out is actually the part of the purse that it clips on to and has broken off, now where is the rest of the purse?

It just dawned on me, the clasp button was two feet away from the florin, hmm I wonder.
