Goldpick
Chris Johnson
I have been mulling purchasing the Raptor digger for while now, mainly for use during the winter months when the soil is more moist. I ended up purchasing direct from Predator tools at a cost of around $112 shipped, and I believe this tool will dig cleaner plugs or slots than a typical serrated Lesche type digger, plus allow you to get under the plug or pry open a slot more easily due to its curved blade vs a straight blade. The supplied pouch is of good fit and quality, and the belt loop is large enough to accomodate the widest of belts.
It is also clearly less knife like than the Lesche or Deteknix diggers, something I am always conscious about when operating in more public areas.
I took the Raptor out for a run today, and it actually proved more handy and easier to use than my small Lesche shovel ( in appropriate areas).
