http://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/activities/fossicking/rules/designated-areas/ last sentence reads...
Fossickers must not enter any areas held under mining leases and claims without the permission of the lease or claim holder.

So to spend a day or so in the Central Gold District General Permission Areas where it directly overlays existing Mining Lease(s) one has to chase up lease holders?? ....

Would it really be worth asking lease holder of ML 70526 (could only imagine getting a "No")?

General permission would imply that permissions have been priorly granted add infinitum.
I realise this is an old post,... but I've only just seen it, and it deserves attention albeit a little late. ;)
