Find old places with open dirt. For older coins try river banks, old jetties, old towns on rivers, closed schools, disused ovals and under really old big trees. For spendable coins try busy beaches and picnic areas. I looked everywhere, pretty much the only thing I don't do is dig mowed grass...

They look pretty good. I've got some bags my wife sewed up for me using the material from a damaged car awning. Tent material might work too. Easy to sew and its water proof. I chuck my finds bag, pin pointer and trowel in one to stop the sand spread.

Maybe sticking the coils in an old pillow slip would keep the cables tidy.

I finally got to test the Haylou Purfree Lite bluetooth bone conduction head set with the Vanquish 540. They are no good. There's too much delay for them to be practically usable. So the outcome is - don't buy them for detecting use. For general headphone use they work fine.
